SUPER CASH BINGO NEWS

If you can bake a homemade goodie for the Sunday July 5th Super Cash Bingo it would be a tremendous help.  The players love the goodies that FAST families provide.  If you can provide a goodie, it can be dropped off at St. Thomas More Academy on Friday July 3rd after 5 PM, at St. John’s Prospect Hall (at Butterfly Lane) on Saturday July 4th after 5 PM or at St. Thomas More on Sunday July 5th after 11 am.  THANK YOU in advance from the FAST Bingo Committee and please remember that all proceeds from the concessions stand at Super Cash Bingo goes directly into the POOL FUND account!

We are still looking for 1 more volunteer to work the concession stand and 3 more people to sell tips on the floor.  Please contact Wade Atkins at 301-639-8177 if you can volunteer a few hours to raising POOL FUNDS

FHS pool is open!

Put away the bug spray and running shoes (no dry lands at Baker Park)  and grab your suit and goggles! The FHS pool is open. So for anyone available, practice tonight:

13-18            5:30-7:00
9-12              7:00-8:00
8 and under    7:00-8:00

These hours are only for tonight. Schedule for next week will be sent out in the Sunday update.

Stroke & Turn

Stroke and Turn Clinic

There will be a stroke and turn clinic for all parents interested in becoming a swimming official on January 31st at Frederick High at the MAC Hogan Meet. It will be held at 12 noon and will not be more than an hour long.  If you are interested in becoming and official please contact Wade Atkins at jatkins@cc.nih.gov or 301-402-1704.  This is a great way to learn more about the sport of swimming and can help you meet your volunteer commitment for FAST.

The second dual meet is Tuesday June 30 against a very good Seahorse team. Please make every effort to be there! Warm up is at 5:30. Please be there by 5:00. I have to turn in the lineup at 5:30 and there are no changes allowed after that time.

NBAC long course meet entries due

The NBAC long course meet entries are due for any swimmer interested in the optional long course meet. Swimmers must have BB times or faster. Short course yard converted times are acceptable. If you are interested in attending this meet July 10-13, please email fastcoach@aol.com meet entries by tomorrow night Wednesday, June 10 by 9:00 pm. The meet notice is available at www.mdswim.org.
