Splash & Dash Event

Clover Hill is holding a “Splash & Dash” event on August 28th – swim (500m swim for 15 & older) and run (2 miles for 15+)…..shorter distances for younger age groups.

Help needed for Super Cash BINGO

FAST and St. Thomas More Academy are co-hosting another super cash BINGO! on Sunday August 22, 2010. There are many ways you can help make this successful for the team and help us raise funds for the permanent practice facility.

You can:

1) Volunteer to work at the Bingo. We need 5 floor walkers to sell tips, we need cooks for Sunday morning food prep and we need folks to serve the lunch and help clean up. All of these positions will help you meet you membership requirement by counting as a worked bingo.

2) You can purchase a ticket and come play BINGO. You would have 20 chances at winning 500.00 during each game. We could all use a little extra cash with school starting the next day.

3) You could suggest to your family friends and neighbors that they buy a ticket and come play bingo! If you need flyers to hand out or to post please let Wade Atkins or Diane Ivins know and we will get some to you.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of the bingo jobs (get those bingos out of the way!) or if you want more information please contact Wade Atkins at 301-639-8177. It is never too early to sign up but the good jobs are taken before you know it.

FAST Winter Season Registration

Registration for the FAST Winter Season will be held at Roy Rogers on Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick on August 17^th and August 25^th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mention FAST when ordering food and FAST will receive part of the proceeds.

All swimmers (current and new) must have forms completed and submitted to Renee Walchuck prior to the start of the 1^st practice. There will be a $25.00 late fee assessed for those swimmers that are in the pool without having all necessary paperwork submitted.  If you are unable to make one of the registration dates please contact Renee at registration@frederickareaswimteam.org to make other arrangements.  Please do not give registration forms to coaches or other parents; all forms should be turned into Renee Walchuck.

*New swimmers need to bring a copy of the birth certificate to registration.

**Fees for the 2010-11 swim season will be posted soon.

Practice starts :
Tuesday, September 7th – ages 13-18 yrs old
Tuesday, September 14th – ages 9 -12 yrs old
Tuesday, September 14th – ages 8 and under
Tuesday, September 14th – Pre-competitive
