ASC and GBSA Meet Entries Added

Meet entries have been posted to the Meet Schedule page for both the ASC and GBSA meets. Please check for accuracy. Any discrepancies about the entry should be emailed to fastcoach@aol.com immediately.

MANDATORY FAST PARENTS INFORMATION MEETING

A mandatory FAST Parents Information Meeting will be held on Wednesday at the Middletown High School cafeteria. The meeting will be held in two sessions, you only need to attend one.  The times are 6:30-7:45 and 7:50-9:00.  There will be someone to supervised the younger swimmers until practice begins at 6:45. Representatives from the Board of Directors, Pool Committee, and the Fundraising Committee will be presenting important information that affects all FAST swimmers.  Some of the topics covered will include the status of the Pool Project (a permanent FAST pool facility), and the fundraising efforts that will be required to support the Pool Project.  It is estimated that we will need to raise $100,000 just to start, so the participation of all FAST parents will be critical to the success of this project.  Please mark your calendars, and plan to attend this important meeting.

SUPER CASH BINGO

As one of the first special fundraising efforts for a permanent pool facility, FAST will be hosting a Super Cash Bingo at St. Thomas More Academy on March 15th.  This fundraiser is separate from the general fundraising efforts, and all proceeds will be designated to the pool project.  FAST has the potential of raising an additional $5,000 at this Super Cash Bingo, but will need to sell at least 200 tickets to cover operating costs and still raise funds for the pool project.  In order to accomplish this, we will need the support of many FAST volunteers.  All FAST families are asked to print copies of the Super Cash Bingo Flyer and distribute them in an area near you.  To obtain tickets to sell in advance, contact Connie at 301-639-8431, Wade at 301-639-8177, or Diane at 301-662-1084.  In addition, because FAST is hosting this event, we will need to provide all 15 volunteers required to set up, work the concession stand, sell tips, and clean up.  Please contact Rachel Greco at rachelgreco@netscape.net, or call 301-845-2213 (home) or 240-315-8417 (cell) if you can volunteer to work at the Super Cash Bingo.  Thank you in advance for your support.  By working together, we can make a permanent FAST pool facility a reality. Swimmer Protest

Swimmers and interested parties will be protesting the possible elimination of the HS Swimming program on Wed Jan 21st in front of 115 E. Church Street between 12:30 and 1:30 in conjunction with a Board meeting taking place at 1:00 that day. Please bring signs and wear colorful team apparel.
